• The Beyond the Family Tree conference – 25 – 26 June 2026

The Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies (SIGS) will host an international academic genealogy conference at the University of Strathclyde in Scotland on June 25–26, 2026.

Braeside Genealogy will be there and I will be co-presenting (with Sharon Smith) on Thursday 25 June at 11:00. The topic is ‘Decolonizing Genealogy: How Traditional Genealogical Standards Fail‘.

APG will be hosting the Professional Genealogy Symposium in partnership with the Strathclyde Institute for Genealogical Studies (SIGS). This event is open to ALL; you do not have to be a member of APG to register.
